Who Should Attend? All employees who are working or looking to work in a supervisory capacity. Learning Outcomes The course covers the following areas so the learner will: ? Understand the difference between leadership and management ? Be able to demonstrate an increased awareness of effective communication and listening skills ? Recognise and respond to a variety of work place issues ? Understand how to use emotional intelligence and motivational techniques ? Understand delegation purposes ? Understand legal requirements of their role ? Understand role responsibility impact relating to commercial areas of the business ? Be aware of their personal progression within a supervisory role Modules will cover ? Leadership v Management ? Identification of Authority Styles ? Situational leadership ? Fundamentals of effective communication ? Listening and feedback skills ? Behaviours ? Toolbox Talks ? Diversity ? Mental Health ? Emotional Intelligence ? Motivation ? Delegation ? Legal responsibilities ? Commercial responsibilities ? Self reflection The course contains theory-based learning. There will be a written assessment conducted and assessed by the instructor to ensure competency has been achieved. Upon successful completion, the candidate will be issued with certification by the ECITB. Maximum attendees ? 10 people
