Who Should Attend? For those who are considering, or already have, supervisory responsibilities. Learning Outcomes The course covers the following areas so the learner will understand: ? Health and safety law and how it applies to supervisors. ? Your supervisory responsibilities in controlling site safely. ? Risk assessments and the need for method statements. ? Effective site inductions, toolbox talks and method statement briefings. ? Monitoring site activities effectively. ? Timely intervention when bad practice is identified. Modules will cover ? Health and Safety law. ? Developing a health and safety management system. ? Occupational Health. ? Fire prevention and control. ? Risk assessment and method statements ? Hazardous substances. ? CDM regulations. ? Working at height. ? PPE. ? Manual handling ? First aid Candidates will undertake a written assessment to pass the course. With successful completion, the delegate will receive a CITB Health and Safety Awareness certificate, which is valid for 5 years. Maximum attendees ? 12 people
