Railway Training Courses
ACTTnow work with employers and employees to provide railway training courses through the UK as added training to the Personal Track Safety (PTS) mandatory requirements, which provides the basic underpinning knowledge to enable you to walk, work or operate safely on or near the railway.
PTS training was formed as part of the Railways Act 2005 Schedule 3 para 10(1). The act gives the Office of Rail and Road (ORR) and HSE (previously Health and Safety Commission) a duty to enter into an arrangement to secure cooperation and exchange of information in connection with the carrying out of safety functions.

PTS Training
The quality PTS training packages ACTTnow delivers continuously develop learners’ knowledge, skills and understanding to support the competence of employees. The Health and Safety training will include identifying the legal requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, including the Regulations, Approved Code of Practice and Guidance Notes.
Add-on Railway training courses include, but are not limited to – Health and Safety, Supervisory, Management, First Aid, Mental Health and Forklift Truck training, and Confined Space.
We work with our delivery partners to ensure the UK has workers with the skills to meet the needs of the Railway industry. We deliver various qualifications covering craft, technical and managerial disciplines. Together, we are also responsible for implementing the National Occupational Standards for the industry.

Rail Training Providers
We seek out opportunities to address our customers’ needs and respond positively to drive up skill levels for employees. Assessments are carried out to a standard that fulfils the requirements of each regulated qualification.
It is often necessary to prove to a client or site that individuals possess a valid and accepted health and safety qualification. Employees will need to prove they understand personal site safety responsibilities, health and safety safe working practices and procedures, common workplace hazards and risks, safety signs PPE and the impact we have on the environment.
