ECITB CCNSG Leading a Team Safely (LATS)

Who Should Attend? This test is designed for anyone working within the Oil and Gas, Power Generation, Petrochemical, Engineering, Installation, Maintenance and Renewables sectors working in a supervisory capacity. To be eligible to attend the CCNSG LaTS course, you must hold a current CCNSG Safety Passport. Learning Outcomes The course covers the following areas so the learner will: ? Be able to influence the behaviour of those that they supervise ? Be able to ensure good planning and communication of health and safety related to site work ? Be able to ensure workers operate on site more safely, lowering risk to themselves and others Modules will cover ? Strategies for working safely with others ? Tips for communicating successfully ? Leading a team effectively ? Guidelines for achieving safe outcomes ? Techniques for self management ? An Awareness of health and safety at work and their responsibilities for creating a safe workplace ? An understanding of safe solutions to problems in the workplace The course contains theory-based learning. There will be a written assessment conducted and assessed by the instructor to ensure competency has been achieved. Upon successful completion, the candidate will be issued with certification by the ECITB, valid for 3 years. Maximum attendees ? 10 people
